Folks, the BMW Charity Pro-Am starts two weeks from today and things are kicking into high gear. 

Here’s a refresher on what we’re doing.

Soly continues to play copious amounts of golf. Yesterday he got out with Shane Bacon, presumably to get some tips on how to adjust to his newfound reality down in the scratch handicap neighborhood (he’s down to a 0.2 index). Tron (currently playing to a 5.6 index) worked out for the first time in a few months yesterday and is 

 in the #process with the folks at Callaway to get his setup dialed in.

Yesterday saw a couple big announcements:

First, our friends at BMW pledged to match all donations of $50 and above, up to a total of $10K. That basically means that at least a $20K donation will be split between the Evans Scholars Foundation and the Greenville Health System Children’s Hospital. Huge.

Next, we announced our partners. our partners announced themselves:

,” is a Dallas native and an Oklahoma State alum. He is a former Walker Cupper, a two-time Web.com Tour champion, and a father to triplets. Despite entering the season with limited status, Ed’s seen a career resurgence in 2018 thanks to a second place finish in Panama and a fifth place finish at the Savannah event. There is some concern that Ed’s penchant for Whataburger will provide issues during the Greenville event due to the absence of Whataburger locations in the entirety of South Carolina.

, a 21-year Australian old soul who dabbles in the pro golf scene from time to time. Luck won both the US Amateur and the Asia-Pacific Amateur in 2016, both of which netted an exemption into The Masters. After making the cut in Augusta he decided to turn pro and forego exemptions into the US Open and Open Championship. Curtis’ Web Tour season is off to a solid, if unspectacular, start – he tied for fifth in Savannah (with Ed) and has a couple other top twenty finishes to his credit. He aspires to use his 

 to further his dreams of sourcing coffee beans, starting a cafe/gallery, and then retiring to play The Buck Club for the remainder of his life.

BMW Charity Pro-Am: Partner Update

 Playing in the 2018 BMW Charity Pro-Am. Each of us will team up with a Web.com Tour player (we’ll announce partners in the coming weeks), and face off in a best-ball aggregate score battle royale against one another.

 Soly is out to embarrass Tron and burnish his already-stout Pro-Am resume. More importantly, we’re trying to raise money for two deserving charities, provide some entertainment, and line you folks up with some delicious prizes.

, place as many bets as you want ($10 apiece, with bulk discounts listed) on either Soly or Tron. Follow along and if your team wins, you’ll be entered into the grand prize raffle. Or, if you’re feeling magnanimous, bet on both.

Supporters of the losing team will be entered into a less-than-grand prize raffle. Winners will be announced on Monday after the tournament and 100% of the proceeds will go to charity.
